Taylor Maxwell are an independent facade solutions provider operating out of 19 offices across the UK. Offering a highly consultative approach, Taylor Maxwell pride themselves on their depth of expertise and the strength of their relationships, which together have led to the business being able to offer the optimised product choice and quality of service for which they have become reknowned.
Despite growing well both organically and through acquisition, the Taylor Maxwell management team were keen to further drive business growth through proactive strategic and tactical marketing activities. Among other things they needed an inspirational piece of print collateral, that would not only engage and inspire architects, but would also be a frame of reference for developers and contractors and a useful tool for the Taylor Maxwell field sales team.
Applying the new brand
Following a rebranding exercise during which we reworked Taylor Maxwell’s visual and verbal identity, we undertook the design of FB3, their annual product portfolio brochure.
Following a consultation exercise we worked with the in-house marketing team to amalgamate all of their existing brochures into one master piece of collateral, which not only displayed all product information, including technical specifications, but which also offered rich content via the presentation of award winning, architectural projects which showed their products in application.
At 120 pages, split across 4 sections, the brochure uses colour to differentiate between product categories, making it an easy to use reference tool, particularly for the sales team. As well as being a useful resource, the brochure makes use of Taylor Maxwell’s project photography to the max - placing imagery front end centre throughout to create impact and drama.
Creating an architectural piece
We used a rigid grid system to plan the page layouts, ensuring structure and therefore an architectural feel thought-out, but we allowed each page to develop depending on it’s content, meaning each page is unique, despite working to the same overall grid. This adds pace to the brochure as well as making each spread a surprise and a delight.
The end result is a beautiful piece of print collateral which is both visually striking and useful, serving the needs of multiple audiences.
