We're proud to be a B Corp Certified web design and development agency.
Adoptions & migrations.
Not every website needs to start from scratch. When you move to Abstrakt, we take on your existing Craft site, understand it inside out, and make it work harder for your business and your customers - whether that means a version migration, a new agency partnership, or both.
Our approach to adoptions & migrations.
We've adopted sites in varied states of health, untangled complex plugin setups, and migrated years of content.
Adoptions
Before we adopt your site, we carry out a thorough technical review to understand its architecture and codebase before we do anything. That means no surprises, no disruption, and a smooth handover that gives you confidence from day one. We'll work with your current Craft partner to adopt the website, and from there, we'll support ongoing development, improvements, and strategic growth.
Migrations
Still on Craft 4? It's no longer supported, which means your site is exposed to security vulnerabilities and falling behind on performance. We migrate Craft websites to the latest version cleanly and carefully, preserving your content, your structure, and your editorial workflows. We also handle plugin audits and replacements, ensuring your site is stable, up-to-date, and ready for what comes next.
What we can help you with:
- Craft CMS and Commerce site adoptions from another agency
- Craft 4 to Craft 5 migrations
- Plugin audits and security updates
- Codebase reviews and technical documentation
- Staging environment setup and version control
- UI kit and template refreshes post-migration
- Ongoing development, maintenance, and support
- Improving functionality, UX and full redesigns
- Search support and strategies
Long Eaton Sofas
Originally, we adopted Long Eaton Sofas from another Craft Partner, working with the incumbent to migrate the site before giving the website a UI kit refresh, and stabilising the website before eventually working with the client to complete a full redesign and build.
Burghley House
Working with their incumbent to adopt the existing Craft 3 website, we migrated the site to Craft 4, stabilising the environment, creating a strong foundation for the homepage redesign, fresh UI kit and rearchitecture of the website’s navigation for a more intuitive user journey.
