Craft CMS website for Oxford Consultants

Creating intrigue and demonstrating clarity of thinking.

Oxford is an extensive and diverse network of professionals that have left senior roles in the corporate world to work with clients and their interesting challenges. They’re known for getting to the heart of the problem, unlocking growth potential and developing simple solutions.

Having worked with Oxford previously on their migration from Craft 2 to 3 and bringing their brand to life digitally with a fresh website, Oxford returned to Abstrakt for the latest iteration of their website design and build that illustrated their work and thinking.

Moving forward, they wanted to show that less is more and encourage website users to feel that Oxford is worth having a conversation with, based on their brevity, experience, people and the quiet confidence delivered through language and design simplicity.

Oxford came to us with a clear vision of how they wanted the website to be structured in order to move their audience through their proposition. It needed to be a ‘brochure, not a library’ and leave space for people to fill in the gaps and feel intrigued about Oxford and its challenging consultancy.

We completely stripped back the design and steered away from any ‘bells and whistles’ to create a clean, simple and yet, a focused design that lets Oxford’s language and thought-provoking content speak for itself, removing any distraction in photography or illustration.

This showcases the homepage by being totally stripped-back and direct, in its introduction of Oxford on the initial landing, with an unadorned yet sophisticated animation that differentiates them from the crowd and competitors. When developing the Craft website, we ensured that interactions were obvious but effortless to subtly move users through the website with little moments of surprise and delight—modest but unmistakably polished.

The Abstrakt team remained so positive and professional under such duress, and I really appreciated their understanding and support when accommodating our late changes. Despite all the challenges we threw at them, they've produced something that looks and feels great with excellent build quality too.
