Illustrative Craft CMS website for the built environment & public sector
Pioneering innovation by demonstrating expertise within the built environment.
As an established Joint Venture, Perfect Circle provides public sector organisations with a range of consolidated design and construction consultancy services under one umbrella.
With the backing of three of the leading global organisations in their field, and the infrastructure, expertise, man-power and global reach that come along with that, Perfect Circle has an unrivalled offering that is virtually impossible to replicate.
However, they had a WordPress themed website that was difficult to update and wasn’t performing for them as a marketing tool. They needed a website that would demonstrate their credibility, capability and build their brand awareness globally.
There was a lack of imagery available to Perfect Circle as a consultancy service and they wanted to steer away from tired, generic photography. Illustration allowed us to create wonderfully bespoke imagery that represented the built environment for the public sector.
Detailed illustrations of environments and buildings back Perfect Circle’s brand identity using their colour palette to build the digital presence, whilst positioning them to customers on another level with considered scenes for every step of the user’s journey.
Clear and concise iconography improves visual interest across the website and steers attention to key points of interest and messaging. This improved the overall experience for users and communicated Perfect Circle’s consultancy services in a nutshell.
WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
We held a workshop across the three Joint Venture businesses to place ownership on the website and to understand the detail; the core audiences, behaviors, ideas on the from key stakeholders and to achieve overall buy-in from each individual business for Perfect Circle as a whole.
There was previously no digital style and we worked to create a digital design and presence as we reworked Perfect Circle’s colour palette for accessibility, progressed their typography and harnessed our illustrative work. We’d already worked with Perfect Circle to create a strong journey for users and the overall sitemap; so the site came together visually to represent the brand and boost its awareness.
When it came to development we build the website entirely on Craft CMS and originally set out to animate the illustrations to surprise and delight users as they scrolled. However, we stripped back animation to create a static site to let the content sing and prevent distraction from supporting the built environment.
Thank you for input on the huge project to launch our new digital presence to the market.
