Zing came to Abstrakt looking to bring their brand to life in the digital space and move onto a new CMS that would offer them more flexibility in their content management.

Breathing new life into Zing's energetic branding

When it came to Zing’s brand, we undertook a digital refresh to evolve the brand identity by using an extended brand palette and tonal values. This breathed new life into the brand and made it more accessible to users.

Simultaneously, we drew on the brand logo mark to create graphical elements used across assets for brand applications and reworked typography to suit modern standards and use across Microsoft products and the digital space.

We’ve combined the reworked brand into standardised guidelines so that everyone at Zing has set rules they can now follow for brand consistency.

Communicating a SaaS offering with bespoke illustration

When building SaaS brands, illustration has become more and more popular, realising that it’s difficult to depict what a product does through stock imagery that often feels unfit for SaaS solutions.

Taking this into account, we created a suite of bespoke illustrations for Zing that demonstrate their expertise and unlock the power of Twilio’s cloud communications platform. The illustrations feel uniquely Zing and seamlessly fuse the new tonal colour palette with clear iconography.

Web design & development that creates a super slick experience

Aside from moving Zing from WordPress onto Craft CMS, the website has been rearchitected to include a service section to emphasise better and explain Zing’s service offering. Whilst Zing remains Twilio; first, the website now demonstrates how they work with Twilio and has been designed to scale as Zing grow. The design is more user friendly, with clear touchpoints to drive users through the website.

Zing wanted a CMS that would give them more control, autonomy and flexibility when it came to content. The great thing about Craft is that it’s content first, which means content managers don’t need to make their content work for a template. We’re able to design and build websites specific to the audience and business needs, and that makes Craft super user-friendly. Ensuring we kept Zing’s messaging and Twilio front and centre, we added subtle animations to buttons and parallax to illustrations to give a feeling of pace as users move through the site.

What we do at Zing can be complicated to explain. From the outset it was clear that the Team at Abstrakt understood who we were, what we did and how we wanted to describe ourselves and they were able to express that within our brand and our website.
